But if I were Mark Zuckerberg I would measure the performance of my “Facebook Marketing Experts” consultants by checking:
The CTR variations of the accounts assigned to them,
The variations in clicks,impressions
The increase in the budget spent on the accounts assigned to them
Question: Are the above listed parameters and FINAL objectives of your Facebook marketing actions? Or perhaps, as an entrepreneur, you are interested in increasing customers, sales and turnover?
Facebook “expert” consultants rely on INTERMEDIATE business results that may not match yours
Closely connected to what was said in point 1 is the fact that they base their reasoning and proposals mainly on factors and parameters internal to the Facebook platform (also because they cannot do otherwise).
There are precise traces of this also in the email sent by the expert, among which:
“My goal is to help you and other businesses like yours optimize your ad performance,”
“Your ad received 5677 clicks at a CTR of 2.2%.”
What is he telling us?
That he only looks INSIDE Facebook.
To be clear, we ask our clients whose Physician Database campaigns we follow how much they have SOLD .
We don’t count clicks.
We don’t talk to them about CTR.
Those are all intermediate parameters that we professionals control but which are ABSOLUTELY partial if not connected to the final sales result.
A practical example:
no later than two weeks ago we SWITCHED OFF a lead generation campaign for one of our clients that was bringing leads at the lowest cost compared to all the other campaigns BUT that was bringing very low quality leads that then DID NOT buy.
That is, we measure the internal platform parameters + the customer performance parameters = and then draw conclusions.
I’m willing to bet that the
Facebook expert would have instead recommended pushing the campaign with the lowest conversion costs.
Should you ignore the offer of help from these Facebook marketing experts?
